The library has served the residents of Empire, Glen Arbor, and Kasson townships for over three decades. Since its establishment in 1977, the library has grown steadily, migrating from a small storefront space to its current home, the site of the former Empire fire station. The approval of a millage proposal in 1996 allowed for a major expansion of our building, along with a significant increase in our operating income. As we move into our fourth decade, we look forward to evolving and growing along with the community we serve.
